Bill is forced to endure the official wearing of the pink cowboy hat as his welcome to Texas hazing ritual.
So a couple of guys on the messageboard are wanting more pics of little 'ole me.

~sigh~

I dunno guys. I'm getting older and I don't feel so pretty these days. I really can't keep focusing on me, cuz I need to let the younger hotter guys take the stage. So I find myself behind the camera instead of in front of it. This is as it should be I think.

Totally glad SOMEONE wants to see me, I just think the world is misguided!

With this entry, #299, we come to SEVEN years online. That's a pretty long run, even for series television. And some big changes are about to occur.

Naw, nothing crazy. Just some re-organizing planned.

First off, the Journal will no longer truly be a part of ChaosInAustin.com

It's being moved to BryanOckert.com.

With the site containing more and more adult material, I think it's time to get schizophrenic and split it up a bit.

ChaosInAustin.com has a stronger tie with images, and the journal is pretty G and all about ME ME ME, so it fits better over at BryanOckert.com. There will still be links to it from ChaosInAustin.com, but the url will be changed so even family members won't be alarmed.

ChaosInAustin will morph further with the addition of videos to the site. A whole new section called ChaosInAustin.tv will be added. I can't figure out how to deal with the 70 or so spreads I already have. I'd like to re-do them all to just include 8 images, and then make the rest pay, but ugh! what a of labor!

Most of you members and long-time fans have already seen all these images, so it's no bother for you all. Only the new people stumbling along will not know there were tons and tons of free images in the past.

The cams are in limbo. 6 years online there. The sleep and shower cam disappeared about a month ago. Been enjoying sleeping in the dark again, and frankly, I like it.

I ignore the cams more and more, just leaving them facing one room. Hate to admit it, but the house is just too big to do a whole house cam. Trekking over to the cam computer at the center of the house to switch from one cam to other is downright tedious.

I'm just not around enough, and move around the house a lot.

Got lots of good feedback about keeping them. One suggestion was to go back to doing a still image before I leave. This is very doable.

The cams take up a lot of bandwidth, and don't pay for themselves. I'm trying to shift the focus off me too, so getting rid of them fits with that plan. But still debating losing them. It still seems to be a link for a lot of people, but I think the journal will have to be that link.

It surprises me…REALLY surprises me to still have guys say they come to see me. I guess I haven't been doing a good job of taking myself out of the picture. I thought I had disappeared from the front pages.

So that's why the new split. For those of you who can't get enough Bryan, you will find more ME over there. CIA will take on more of an entertainment vehicle for mature audiences. Not all x-rated like, I still plan on doing fun artistic stuff, but mostly it will be membership driven.

And yeah, I will try to get more pics of me in here. Thought I would never say that! It used to be that it was too much of me in here!

Ok, on with the weekly re-cap.

I feel much more rested this weekend. Though this week was terribly incredibly stressful and busy.

Bill was in town, and he helped me tackle lots of stuff that has been eating away at me. Mostly getting on top of some onerous household chores. Bill is one clean guy! Gonna start calling him Rosario! THANK YOU BILL!

I spent way too much time bitching to him about every little thing that's been going wrong lately, so I had lots of little vents throughout the week. Something I don't normally do.

Before I get into Bill's visit, I should probably do a follow-up about the photoshoot I had for Ajaxx63.

I had planned 3 locations, but I had major budget and time frame restrictions. 3 hours to do studio and 2 locations was not enough. So I opted for studio and one location. I got an old Nova for the location shoot, and getting that hulking piece of metal to and from the location was another organizational issue. (Thanks to my friend Andy for coming through for me!)

Studio stuff went great. Then we went over to the Design Center and did some shots in their parking garage.

Carrie came along to help me. I needed it! Too much equipment, and trying to make sure all the details were looked after would have drove me mad. As it was, we still struggled to keep up and forgot major details (like the camera! oops!). Now I know why whole teams work these shoots…and they get paid thousands of dollars.

The models were all troopers and we got some good stuff.

img_6039-tonaldetaltn.jpg

There were a couple shots that I really liked in the garage. This one has some black tonal adjustment, and I like the effect.

img_6036-alttn.jpg

BTW, the third guy in this shot (down by the mirror) is Jonatan's (the metal sculptor) best friend, Josh. He has such an amazing look. I can't wait to show him off in the F-victim I have planned.

One of the minor emergencies we had was the water fountain we planned to shoot at suddenly had a wedding party taking place around it. Carrie and Andy went for coffee and found an even better fountain. Saved!

Now I didn't really plan on shooting the fountains. They were just gonna be there, and if the guys wanted to, we would shoot there. Our time was really limited, and we had to get back to the studio to shoot the tanks tops.

But the guys jumped right in, and I got some cool stuff. It was not what Ajaxx63 was looking for, what with the shirts having a military look, but I had scouted out the military base here, and security was so crazy I didn't want to even attempt it.

They didn't like the shots at all. “Uh, what's with the fountain pics? Couldn't you find a chain link fence?” Sigh. Oh well. That's what we get for such limited budget and time frames. Take what we can and see what we get.

I do like the fountain pics. This one shot is great. N.L. gets splashed by Andy, while Josh sticks his tongue out.

I used the images for their e-zine also. I think it looks fine ~shrug~

We raced back to the house to finish the tank tops, and Andy and Josh ended up wearing the same tank. Andy had an appointment so we were way rushed to get him out the door. Thankfully he was available on Monday to re-shoot.

Then I drove the car back, had some dinner, and then completed all the images ready for them to view by early the next morning. It was a very Ajaxx63 weekend.

Like I said, the rest of the weekend was about Bill and making sure the move down would work for him. Glad to say it will, though I doubt I am clean enough for him. I feel downright sloppy next to him! I hope I don't drive him crazy!

Bill has got lots of great marketing ideas, so I am hoping that there will be some other big things in the near future.

Bill watched a lot of movies while I handled Ajaxx follow ups, so I would sneak in and guiltily watch some key parts of of the movies. I forget that some people actually sit and relax at the end of the day!

vanhelsing.jpg

On Saturday we went to go see Van Helsing. Had I known it was by the same guy who did The Mummy movies (The Crummy) I wouldn't have gone. The movie did have a fair number of high moments, which I told Bill as we were leaving the theatre.

He said, "What? The part where it was over?" Hehe..funny Bill.

Really though, the special effects were top notch. Flying is no longer embassingly bad, and I think more superhero movies can use it now. The Frankenstein's Monster story arc was very touching, well acted, and well, I think this monster was pretty close to what I think the monster would look like. Parts sewn together, with eletrical parts keeping it all going. And kind hearted too.

Good to see on the big screen, but so many laughable moments that if you go see it, you're just gonna have to Let It Go, and just accept the pretty pictures as they come at you.

Sunday Bill left, and I found myself out at Barbara's. We've got shoot out there next week, and the place is just overrun with Ragweed (NOT poison ivy...I realized that was Ragweed..too early for the poison ivy to come out!) So I mowed

299-04tn.jpg

And I mowed.

299-05tn.jpg

And I mowed till I was a sweaty mess (hey you wanted more pics of me!)

Barbara was also out helping clear out the various barns, locations, and burned down buildings so that it would be great for photoshoots. Damn she works hard! She's fearless out there in the tall grass, despite her dogs constantly getting rattle snake bites. One did just last week and its face was still all distorted and swollen. That will make you nervous as you pull up beams off wood and metal sheeting!

So the place is cleared and ready to go! Now to make that land work for her!

I got back, after 3 major allegies attacks and very burned shoulders (I will never learn!) and had another shoot with Andy.

Bill is developing some comp cards for him, and we wanted some shots of him in a suit for the card. We got those and Andy wanted to do a bunch of other shots too. He brought his sword and did some cool poses on a very high precarious location.

I could do an entire book on him. Its crazy how much the camera loves him.

img_6279tn.jpg

Here is one picture from the shoot. He is up on top of a cliff (can't tell though, very limited on space) and he is jumping over his sword. You have to look at a couple times, and I guess with photoshop retouching everywhere, nothing is really believable, but this is real.
