Kitty gets shaved
I couldn't stand it anymore! There are these ginormous tumbleweeds of hair drifting through out the house. It's Kitty! fur. She's been shedding like crazy, and now I know why she showed up all shaved up at my doorstep last Summer. I could make two whole other dogs out of what I've gathered up this week.
I checked with PetsSmart and they don't make Nair for dogs. When I asked where it may be kept, the lady looked at me as if she might dial the Humane Society. Why oh why can't I just Nair my dog?!?!?
Seriously, her undercoat is coming out in huge tufts of hair, and then gets trapped by outer fur, so that she was starting to get matted, despite two brushings a day.
I swept the floor three times this week and there are a LOT of ceramic floors for those rat-sized dust bunnies to float around on.
No budget for a trip to the Spa for a real hair styling. After my horrendous experience with Wookie (who must be Kitty!'s daughter-- they look SO much alike.) Click here to see that hair hacking incident.
This time I we went to the back patio, rather than the bathroom and I had one major advantage from the Wookisode- Kitty! loves to be brushed, preened, and generally fussed over. She sat still for the entire trimming.
I also didn't skin her like a sheep. I used a comb and my finger to keep her fur about a ½ inch long.
I concentrated on her hindquarters where all the tangles were starting. Actually, she looks like she lost 10 pounds. She seems happy and looks good.
Time will tell though if the hair balls decrease. There was a lot of loose hair still on her body when we finished up. I didn't have the heart to give her a much hated bath after spending an hour or two chopping off all her hair.
Poor thing…but she doesn't realize how close she came to an out and out Nairing.
Bradley on "Playing It Straight"
Haven't seen this Fox Network show, but apparently former model and all around sexy guy Bradley is on their new show called "Playing It Straight" I guess the goal is for a woman to find her perfect man, the ringer, some of the guys are gay. If she pics the Mr. Right, and he is straight, the couple gets to split a million bucks. If she pics a gay guy, he walks a way with the whole million. (or so I am told). This of course inspires the gay guys to "act" as straight as possible, and will make the girl's head spin as examines tiny behaviors and examines her own stereotypes.
 
From what my friend told me who saw the show, Bradley offered the girl his hair dryer, and is now sheepishly on her list of possible queer candidates for it. I mean really, Bradley has a flat top!
The show airs on Fridays 8pm/7pm. They have some videos with Bradley doing the intro.
So is Bradley gay or straight? I'm not sayin.
Ajaxx63 pics
Ajaxx63 has a few new hats and shirts coming out. They sent them, and I hired Mark Hooban to shoot them (Entry ). He sure can fill the shirts out!
We originally aimed to shot on Saturday, but he's been going non-stop and needed some sleep, and then we had a ton of rain, and then…..we ended up putting it off till Sunday.
Surprisingly, I didn't have a lot of commitments this weekend, so it was nice to be able to give him some scheduling room.
I went to the gym instead. No bike rides this weekend…rain..whaaaaaaaaaa!
I did get FOUR..count them…four bike rides in this week though. Yes!
Anyway, I ended up shooting with Mark on Sunday, and another model showed up to do a nakie shoot, and suddenly I had too many models on my hands. We quickly shot the Ajaxx63 stuff, sent Mark on his way, and then worked with Danny on some nakies.

Matson Belle coming up
Matson Belle sent out this image in an email talking about their appearance at SXSW Music festival. You see that little Diesel icon on there? Ok, so I know it's not officially a Diesel advert, but having my pics with Diesel emblazoned on it is pretty nifty.
I put a promo for them on the front page. They are playing next Thursday night (St. Pats Day) and I'm gonna go over and photograph them and Omar Lopez. (below)
HRC Dinner shoots
While taking care of my mom in Colorado, Earnest called and asked if I could do a rush job and do headshots of the Austin HRC board, and the committee members for the upcoming HRC black tie dinner.
They didn't have a lot of time before the programs were gonna be printed, and Monday, the day after I got back was first we both could do it. I don't know how Earnest did it, but he scheduled everyone to make it for a headshot.
I headed down to the Four Seasons at about 4:30pm and over a 2 hour period I snapped photos of board members and chair persons. We ended with a VERY hasty group shot.
By 7:30 I was pretty beat. Earnest took me over to Magnolia Café for dinner, and it was great getting caught up with him.
The HRC Dinner is next weekend, so if you plan to attend, better get your tux, dress..and ticket!
Andrew's Wallpaper
Jeff got inspired by the photos I just posted of Andrew. I've only been asking Jeff to concentrate on the “Cover” model, but I think Jeff really responded to Andrew's looks.
I added five of them to his Bio4ms area, and they weren't there when I originally posted them, so if you collect em (and you SHOULD!) be sure and go check them out!
Scrapbook item
Here's and item for my scrapbook. I got a letter from the Octopus Club thanking me for the contribution. They raised $23,242.23!
That's pretty dang good! Especially since I was worried about no one bidding on stuff when we left an hour before final bids.
There were some high dollar items, and I'm sure that brought the numbers much higher.
So congrats to the Octopus Club for gathering up so much money. 100% of that money goes directly to AIDS services.
